Handwoven Cowl (23-02)

This handwoven cowl (a loop that goes around the neck, rather than a scarf with ends you can tie together) is woven with premium acrylic yarn and sock yarn that is a blend of superwash merino wool and nylon, making it soft and squishy as well as warm and easy to care for (it can be machine washed if needed, though hand-washing will extend the life of the garment). The warp (around the loop) is in stripes of maroon and gold; the weft (across the loop) is a tweedy, hand-dyed sock yarn in shades of brown. The fabric is hand-sewn into the cowl loop, with one end neatly folded under and secured and the other spilling over with fun, hand-twisted fringe.

This cowl is 7.5 inches wide and 47 inches around. This is long enough that it can be looped twice around the neck, or left as one longer loop.

I have tried to ensure that the photos accurately represent the colors of the actual items, but please allow for the differences in the ways colors show up on screens and in person.
